Jets/Pats 4th Quarter

Sunday, January 07, 2007

Put your 4s up. I'm here for the whole quarter....hopefully.

3:40- Pennington completes a long pass to the TE Baker. Good job coming back from the mistake on the last drive. Jets driving.

Baker with his third catch on the drive. Dangerous pass though.
3:45- Pats finally get some pressure on Pennington and he throws it away. Wilfork is playing great.

Looks like another Nuuuuuge attempt.

23-16

"He's out with a knee"- Nantz, I hate when he reports injuries like that. That's not a sentence Jim.

3:50- Brady almost throws another INT. The Jets corners can not catch.

Pats on yet another drive. The Jets D seems tired now.....those third and long conversions have to hurt.

3:55- Where is Corey Dillon? Kevin Faulk now has 6 carries to Dillon's 9.

"Now the clock. You start looking at it as a play caller."- PS, I have no idea what that meant.

3:58- There's Corey with a killer first-down for the Pats. They're at the 10 now looking to score and kill some time.

TD New England. Kevin Faulk as the Jets D was completely lost on that third down.

30-16. Looking like the Pats are heading to San Diego guys.

Looking at the replay of the TD......Eric Smith switched to Kevin Faulk on the check, but never even went over to cover him. Damn white people in the secondary.
The roommate has Stephen King's the Stand on the other TV and I was unaware of this, but Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a cameo......

"He's coming for you! The man with no face"- KAJ, you are a great actor Lew Alcindor.

4:05- Free Agent to be Samuel makes the Patriots take another look at his contract. Pick Six.....game over.

37-16

4:13- Pennington keeps the Jets crazy hopes alive with a 4th down conversion. I don't know how Pennington isn't picked off every play. He has about 3mph at most on every pass.

Another one almost picked off. And another 4th down attempt. I can't wait for Mangini to just walk off the field without shaking BB's hand.

Pennington sacked.

BB chokes a photographer out of the way so he can hug Mangini. That guy is a psycho......and he went to my High School. Good Times.

beloved Awesome commenter Sam T. is up next for the NFC game. Enjoy.

AA - again, Nantz just uses the Al Michaels Method when it comes to injury reports (at least I think that started with Al.)

I still find any instance of "he's out with a groin" unintentionally hilarious.

And Asante Samuel makes extra sure of it. Everyone slammed him as a very light corner during the year -- but he's won games for the Pats with his picks (he picked Grossman thrice when they beat the Bears.)

Manhug with no shiv between the coaches. I'm disappointed.

I expected some West Side Story-level shit.

It just occurred to me...

Eric Mangini looks like that guy from Hot Shots - the one who tracks Charlie Sheen down in the beginning.
