This Eldrick Guy Is Pretty Good With The Putter

This post is really just a preamble to the Final Round of the U.S. Open, but if you missed Tiger Woods eagle putt on the 13th hole, here it is....

The guy is just a machine. He putted that at least six feet to the right before it swung back to the left. Amazing. Bob Costas and company are on hand and I'll be pulling quotes and videos from the Final Round as it creeps along. If anything exciting happens you know where to find it.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads and let's enjoy some Golf!

I didn't get a chance to watch 13 live, but I did see 17 and 18 live. If this man can win the U.S. Open on a bum knee, there is no question he is the best golfer to ever walk the earth.

Is it just me, or have this year's big tournaments given us more "for-the-ages" moments than usual? In just six months, we've had Tiger's Round 3 at the U.S. Open, Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship and Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The World Series better come through, dammit.

It was only the group stages, but you might be able to add Euro 2008 to that list too: in what was effectively a knockout match (winner would claim the second spot in Group A, loser is done), Turkey trailed the Czech Republic 2-0 with 15 minutes to go and came back to win 3-2. That just doesn't happen in soccer.
